COURIER SERVICE FOR PASSPORTS From the beginning of August the British Consular Services are introducing a 'return delivery service' for passports. This will ensure that new passports are hand-delivered within 24 hours of being despatched from the Consulate-General in Madrid. It will be operated by one of Spain's leading courier services - Bpack, and those who have a computer will be able to track the progress of their passport by going on-line at
www.bpack.net/britishconsulate.aspx. You can also phone the Consulate-General Madrid on 91-524-9757 between the hours of 0900-1400 Monday to Friday. The cost for this service will be 11 euros for returning passports to mainland Spain, and the Consulate-General Madrid's postal handling charge 4 euros for a single applications and 6 euros for multiple applications, The Bpack charge is per package and not per passport so couples and families do not pay more when sending in one or more applications. Customers will be charged on their debit/credit card and will be included in the passport fee sent with the application form, It is important that the form is filled out correctly as if they are incomplete or incorrect they will be returned by Bpack and the credit/debit cards charged accordingly.
